Therapy for High Achievers Rooted in Culture, Identity, and Purpose
Renew Thru Therapy provides licensed online teletherapy services across California, Florida, and New York. Founded by Valeska Cosci, LCSW, this practice specializes in culturally responsive therapy for BIPOC high-achieving professionals, anxiety, burnout, and immigration evaluations.
Invest in your relationship with yourself
I specialize in supporting high-achieving professionals, first- and second-generation BIPOC individuals, and children of immigrants who are navigating the complex intersections of success, identity, and belonging.
On paper, you’ve made it. You work hard, lead teams, navigate complex spaces, and support everyone around you. But behind the impressive resume, you might be navigating imposter syndrome, high-functioning anxiety, burnout, cultural and generational guilt. As a BIPOC professional, immigrant, or child of immigrants, your path is uniquely rich and uniquely challenging. You’ve worked hard, carried expectations, and likely put others first for a long time. But where does that leave your relationship with you?
I’m here to help you shift that narrative.
This is a space where you can lay down the weight, reconnect with your inner voice, and learn to treat yourself with the same kindness and compassion you so freely offer to others. Whether you're looking to untangle generational pressures or find more balance in your demanding career, you’re in the right place.
Start leading your life with clarity, rest, and confidence. Let’s work together to help you thrive, not just for others, but for yourself.
Improve your relationship with others
Imagine feeling content, grounded, and confident—not by leaving parts of yourself behind, but by embracing all of who you are.
Your culture, your customs, your identity, they matter. You don’t have to choose between success and belonging, between honoring your roots and growing into something new. You can thrive in your career, feel connected in your relationships, and stay deeply rooted in your heritage.
You deserve nourishing relationships, healthy boundaries, and a strong, grounded sense of self.
Healing isn’t about choosing one world over another. It’s about weaving all parts of your story into a life that feels fully your own.

I work with BIPOC, high-achieving, and first-generation professionals, most often on anxiety, burnout, perfectionism, workplace stress, boundaries, and questions of cultural identity.
A lot of the people I see are doing well by every external measure and are exhausted underneath it. If you are the first in your family to hold the kind of job you hold, or you are carrying expectations from more than one culture at once, that is familiar territory here.
-
You need to be physically located in one of those three states during our session, which is not quite the same as living there. Therapy is regulated by the state you are sitting in, not the state your therapist is in, and I am licensed in all three.
-
Yes. I am bilingual in Spanish and English, and sessions can be in either language, or move between them.
Some things are easier to say in the language you first felt them in. You do not have to translate yourself here.

My full fee is $225 per session. I hold a limited number of sliding scale spots at reduced rates, and you can read how that works and how to ask for one on my fees page.
If my sliding scale is full or still out of reach, Open Path Collective connects people with therapists at lower rates, and I would rather point you there than have you go without.

I am in network with Cigna in California. I also accept Modern Health and Corporate Counseling and Associates EAP benefits, which many employers provide at no cost to you.
For other plans I am out of network. I provide superbills you can submit for reimbursement if you have out-of-network benefits, or you can use Mentaya to file the claims for you.

Before that, we have a free consultation, which is a short call with no obligation. Its only purpose is to find out whether I am the right person for what you are carrying. If I am not, I will tell you and try to point you somewhere better.
The first full session is mostly me listening. I will ask what brought you here now, what you have already tried, and what you want to be different. You do not need to arrive organized or know how to explain it.
-
I cannot predict it honestly before we have met, but most of the people I work with are in therapy for somewhere between eight and fifteen sessions. More complex situations can go longer.
We will talk about it openly as we go. You are not signing up for something indefinite, and the goal is for you to leave.
-
No, and you are in good company. Many of the people I work with are the first in their family to try this, and some have not told their family they are doing it.
You do not have to arrive convinced. Coming from a family or culture where therapy was treated as something for other people is itself part of what we can talk about.
